Available courses

Our online forklift training and certification has been designed in alignment with the CSA B335-94 Safety Standard for Lift Trucks. This course follows the theory training requirement of Worksafe BC occupational health and safety code section 16 as it applies to forklifts. In addition to the onsite practical training provided by BC Forklift Safety this program meets provincial regulations and standards.

The course outline is as follows;

  • Theory instruction web course covering regulations, pre-shift inspections, forklift safe operation, pedestrians, fuel sources and more…
  • Operational Review at your workplace with our onsite instructor on your equipment in the environment where operators are working. This includes pre-shift inspections, safe operation, site evaluation and hazard identification
  • The course closes with a practical evaluation of your operators skills and abilities.

Read through each lesson and watch the videos. It is best to keep a notebook on hand to take notes as the on-site instructor will refer to some of the information provided here as noted in the course material. Once you have completed the lesson click the complete button at the bottom to move onto the next lesson.

At the end of the course you must pass the final quiz with a score of 70% or greater. You are allowed to take the course up to 3 times. Should you not be able to achieve the required 70% after your third attempt, or if you have language or other barriers to completing the web course please contact your employer or email us at info@bcforkliftsafety.com to arrange an alternative method of training.

As per the CSA & WCB requirements, forklift Operators must be retrained at intervals no longer than every two years. Therefore, our forklift certificates expire two years after they’re awarded, or if you are involved in an accident while operating a forklift. Additionally, employers may be required to evaluate their forklift operators under specific circumstances in accordance with their jurisdiction’s legislation.

This course follows the theory training requirement of Worksafe BC occupational health and safety code section 16 as it applies to forklifts.
